The Driving Force

Shri. L.S.Upadhyay, a visionary, is the main force behind all this. He is a well known personality in the political and social circles in and around Kalyan-Dombivali region. Coming from a less illustrious background, he has conquered many summits which are impossible for the ordinary. An engineer from the prestigious VJTI, Matunga, Mumbai, he started with a small factory in Dombivali MIDC area in the year 1975. He holds gold medal for Industrial Excellence.

His continuous participation in the social activities in the region drew the attention of the public and resulted in his entry to politics. He was an elected representative of Kalyan-Dombivali Corporation from 1995 to 2000.

He is one of the founder members of The Kalyan Janata Sahakari Bank Ltd., Kalyan that was started in the year 1973. He is an elected member of the Board of Directors from 1983 till date. He was holding Chairman's / Vice Chairman position of this bank on six different occasions in this period.

His role in the education field is not just limited to Adarsh Shikshan Mandal, he is also sharing his views and experience with other Educational Organizations viz. Hindi Bhashi Shikshan Sanstha's K.M. Agrawal College Kalyan in the capacity of Founder Trustee and Vice-President of Management committee from the inception of the college. Also member of Management committee at Hindi High School & Jr. College, Kalyan

Shri Upadhyay has worked and contributed to many Educational Organizations at various capacities. In short he is a born Educationist.
